Great tips! I intended to dabble a little in video, etc. to promote my novel; but you're really getting me thinking about getting dedicated with it. Thanks!

A lot of good information here, Keith.
I'm glad you're using your blog to share information with your readers.

On a side note, I think you will also find an increase of traffic to your site from Google searches, because creatives are craving this type of information.

Keep it up!

As you'll see in my upcoming profit-seeking blog, DutchNewYork.com (nothing to see at that domain yet), I intend to let the subject matter dictate what embeddable medium I'll use in the post, or even as the post. I won't feel loyal to any particular medium (although this morning thinking of all the topics I could come up with at first, a lot of them lend themselves to audio of about half hour). When I can figure out how to meet the consistency expectations of subscribers of the blog and of the podcast, then I'll commit to them. Till then, the key is (1) get the piece on a site that will host for free; (2) easy, customized embeds on your site.
I went into a little more detail about this question in my most recent blog post at www.rickwolff.com.
